Leduc 4H Beef Club

Our club has had a few busy months starting with our District Beef Show, Highway Clean up and Community Service to name a few.  Here are a few pics to show how these great kids can do a fantastic job at whatever they put their mind to.  Great job, Leduc 4-H Beef!!

This year is 100 years for 4-H Alberta.  Beep the horn if in your travels you happen to see a sign celebrating 100 years of 4-H.  A great program to celebrate!

Congratulations to our members who went on to District Public Speaking in Looma; Cherese Eidick, Ashley Tolsma and Tristan Eidick.  Cherese is going onto Regionals as she won first place at the Districts, Awesome:)

Well it has been a long time since we have updated our Blog.  Time really does fly when you're having fun:)  we are up an running and looking at a busy spring, whenever that happens.  Public Speaking has just been ticked off the list and Tracy and I would like to congratulate ALL the members for a job well done.  It is not easy to get up and speak in front of people and this is a very important life skill.  Our winners will be going onto District Public Speaking which is this Saturday at Looma Hall.  Good Luck!

We are now planning our Community Service Project for the year so if anyone has any ideas........After that we will be underway with Achievement day.  That's it for now.  I will try and be more vigilant in writing about our clubs accomplishments etc.  Till next time 

Welcome to all the new families to our 4-H club this year.  We hope you have a rewarding experience in learning to do by doing   Welcome to all our new Cleaver Kids this year as well!  Weigh-In is scheduled for Saturday November 2nd.  We will be weighing in at the Fecho farm.  Bring your projects halter broke, please!  We will have our first meeting after weighing in.  Lunch will be provided by Knull and Wrubleski families, Thank You!  See you all soon!

Congratualtions to all the 4-H members for completing their public speaking requirement.  It is a huge deal to get up and talk in front of people.  Tracy and I are very proud of you all   Special congrats to our Junior Third place winner: Ashley Tolsma, Second: Brianna Tolsma and First: Cherese Eidick.  Intermediate Third place winner: Shae-Lynn HIpkin, Second: Chad Dotzlaf, First: Monika Knull.  Senior Third place winner: Sierra Halwa, Second: Kennedy Wrubleski, First: Beth Hofstra.  A job well done!!

Our next get together will be for the District Curling Function, February 8th, which is a Friday when the kids don't have school.  District Public Speaking is then on Sunday February 10th at the Looma Hall.  Club meeting is then on Monday February 11th.  A busy week! 

Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser is happening again on March 1st.  We will have business' that will let us have our booths set up again and try to raise money for better research for Carter and other kids like him.
